Hi there,
Thanks for visiting!
Here's my little story on how 'feed the yogi' came about...
I first made this muesli to serve for breakfast after yoga in the Surf Club during my yoga weekends in Yamba NSW. My yoga students seemed to enjoy it and asked if they could buy extra to take home. Soon after the local deli kindly offered to stock it for me!
Honey Spice and Almond is the original flavour. It has both crunchy and chewy bits, it's handmade, organic, hearty and nutritious. The cinnamon, cardamom and nutmeg give it the intense flavour... Did you know these spices also assist with digestion?
This one is a treat as it is sweetened with honey, so simply serve with milk of your choice. Try almond milk on it!
The Lemon, Coconut and Macadamia was a popular one! It has lots of coconut shreds, seeds, lemon zest and local buttery Australian macadamias. I make this one when lemons are in season.
I also make a variation for those of us whose bellies and souls are a little sensitive. This one doesn't have any grains (so therefore no gluten). It is based on shredded coconut and has lots of nuts and seeds that have been activated. This means they have been long soaked and dried, making them easier to digest. Read more about this here if you're interested! There isn't any sweetener in this one. It doesn't really need it, but I've left it for you to decide how much raw honey you'd like to drizzle yourself.
I like to experiment with flavours so these are likely to come and go. However they are always organic and always made by hand.
So that's the muesli story - Phew!
As well as muesli I make lots of fermented products - saurkraut, kim chi and kefir. If you've never heard these strange words before learn a little about them here. They are SO good for you.
Oh also - you can take 'feed the yogi' cooking classes, and I'd love you to pop over to my yoga blog for 'feed the yogi' recipes.
For now, you will find me at the Bondi Farmers markets (check here when I'll be there) or order online here.
Hope to see you at the markets!
